Guys, it’s finally happened: England have made it to the final of the Euros for the first time since 1966. The ‘finally’ is a big part of that sentence though, because it’s exactly why most of us didn’t think to book ahead to watch the England versus Italy match on Sunday in an actual pub.
Blame it on pessimism, low expectations or a lack of national pride until Sweet Caroline starts booming, but for the less Type-A among us, finding somewhere to watch the England V Italy game this weekend has started to feel like an episode of supermarket sweep.
