Guys, it’s finally happened: England have made it to the final of the Euros for the first time since 1966. The ‘finally’ is a big part of that sentence though, because it’s exactly why most of us didn’t think to book ahead to watch the England versus Italy match on Sunday in an actual pub.
Blame it on pessimism, low expectations or a lack of national pride until Sweet Caroline starts booming, but for the less Type-A among us, finding somewhere to watch the England V Italy game this weekend has started to feel like an episode of supermarket sweep.
If beer gardens and pubs alike aren’t booked up, they’re offering ticket ballots that see a very small percentage of entrants actually gain a table. But like Phil Foden’s commitment to bleach blonde hair, we will NOT give up.
Watching the match at home with loved ones is great, but there’s nothing like the atmosphere of a hundred strangers, screaming ‘It’s coming home’ at random intervals and throwing their pints all over the room at the mere hint of a goal. It’s British culture one must experience on a weekend like this.
We’re not the only ones who think so. ‘Where can I watch the Euros live’ is a major breakout search term right now, with ‘Where to watch the final’ following closely behind. It seems everyone is clambering for a pub table, and since we’ve got the lowdown on the best beer gardens around, we thought we’d help solve that problem.
That’s right, we’ve rounded up some of the best spots to watch the Euros final around the UK. Have a scroll, and make sure you get booking fast…
