When booze and ice cream come together, the result is usually magic.
So, imagine our excitement when we heard that rosé ice cream is actually a thing.
Hot on the heels of frosé - a slush puppy spin on rosé - the wine-imbued gelato is the brainchild of Smitten Ice Cream in San Francisco.
The new flavour goes by the wondrous name of Sonoma Rosé and features a homemade, creamy base infused with vino from Scribe Winery, a California-based vineyard run by two brothers.
The wine used is Una Lou Rosé, an incredible creation that comes in a can (imagine! Wine in a can), with notes of wild strawberry and grapefruit pith.
Smitten ice cream is described as "supremely smooth in texture with unparalleled seasonal and traditional flavours". It's made using liquid nitrogen, for miniature ice crystals and a velvety taste.
The resulting Sonoma Rosé, naturally, is all kinds of delicious.
The folks at Refinery29, who got the tough job of reviewing it, describe it as "sweet" and "fruity", saying: "Unlike with some alcohol-infused sweets, you can really taste the booze in this."
While the trend for rosé ice cream has yet to hit the UK, you could have a whirl at creating your very own take on it.
After all, what better way to spend a lazy summer's afternoon than by experimenting with rosé and a tub of clotted cream goodness?
This BBC Good Food recipe shows how to make ice cream from sweet wines such as Orange Muscat, and could be a good starting point.
If you prefer to leave it to the pros, there are various forms of boozy ices that are available in the UK, and they sound pretty damn amazing.
