Is your name Carol, Ann or Susan? What about Deborah, Sandra or Elaine? You're part of a dying breed, according to the Office of National Statistics. New data suggests that certain baby names could be no more - because the names are going out of fashion.
Apparently Carol and Annette were in the top 100 baby names for girls in 1964, but were completely gone from the 2014 list of popular baby names. Instead, monikers like Oliver, Olivia and Amelia are the name choices du jour for new parents. Oh, and 'Harper' (after Harper Beckham, we presume), plus a few Game of Thrones names thrown in for good measure.
The news comes after we heard that 'Gary' was dying out, with only 33 babies named Gary in 2014. And the Office of National Statistics have singled out 11 names from each sex that could be 'practically extinct' in the next few years because they are losing popularity so quickly. Read on to see if your name makes the list - and to see if you fancy helping these names make a comeback in the next few years...
