Love Game of Thrones? Love it so much you'd name your child after one of the characters? That's what Mums and Dads in the UK were doing last year, according to the list of the most popular baby names in England and Wales, released today.

Data from the Office for National Statistics shows that Oliver and Amelia were the most popular names for the second year running, while Olivia, Isla, and Emily and Jack, Harry and Jacob were runners up.

As for Game of Thrones - parents have been calling their babies Arya, Khaleesi and Tyrion ( we're serious), while Harper (perhaps after Harper Beckham, or Harper Lee) has seen the largest rise in popularity as a girl's name. Dexter has seen a huge increase in popularity for boys. Hopefully not inspired by the serial killer in the TV show of the same name?

New entrants to the list include Robyn, Nancy and Lottie for girls and Jackson, Joey and Ellis for boys.
