The kids have been back at school for a few weeks now (why does it feel a bit like months though) so why not turn your eye to booking for summer 2024? Surely the weather is a motivator if nothing else.

Sure we're a bit excited about Strictly starting and getting cosy under a blanket for the next few... well, months. But really, what can beat the excitement of heading to the airport for some quality holiday time away? Not much. So let the 2024 holiday planning commence.

With TUI there's also extra motivation to book early. There are thousands of extra holidays ready to be booked for summer 2024 and more flights than ever before. You can book many holidays with no deposit now, or from as little as £25. And if you head to the TUI website now, there's also a dedicated page where you can look for free kids' places, even ones that run in the summer holidays.

With lots of trips specifically also marked as TUI Blue For Families holidays, it's never been easier to get organised - and get excited - for your 2024 break ahead of time.

Here's our pick of some of the best holidays available now for your summer 2024 trip...

Based in Sarigerme in the Dalman area of Turkey, you can book this holiday today with no deposit. Choose from seven swimming pools (including splash zones and slides) or the beach if you're travelling with water babies at this all-inclusive hotel. There's a huge focus on activities at this hotel too, including raft-building, crazy golf, bowling and canoeing. There are also tennis courts, an Aerial Adventure course and academies for swimming and football. Kids' clubs, evening entertainment, parent and toddler programmes, teen groups... there's loads here for all the family. Then come together at any of the five restaurants for dinner.

Part of TUI's 'Small and Friendly' category, we love the look of this smaller Corfu hotel, based in San Stefanos and perched on a hilltop. The gorgeous pool and kids pool are the perfect place to relax (or at least try) and enjoy the view. The restaurant and roof top bar are the perfect places to enjoy panoramic views (especially at sunset) of the Ionian Sea. Between June and September, enjoy watersports down at the beach - and enjoy regular live music sessions and weekly Greek nights.

Another Sarigerme hotel in the Dalman Area of Turkey, this hotel comes with the TUI Blue for Families stamp of approval if you're looking for somewhere ready to host your whole brood. W're talking kids' clubs, family entertainment, flumes, slides, plash pools... There's a beach right outside the hotel and the town's shops and restaurants are about 20 minutes walk away. We'll meet you in the Turkish bath, sauna and steam area...

Sorry but the pics are giving 'holiday dreams'. And that's what promised by the hotel too. The hotel is described as 'more like an adventure playground than a hotel'. Which, if you're not going to be able to read more than half a page of your book before being asked to head to a playground anyway, very much appeals. Splash park! High ropes course! Raft-building! Five pools! Pirate ship! Lazy river! Aerial Adventure course! We can't stop! The hotel has three different zones where you can choose what will suit you best - there's Activity, Deluxe and Relax area rooms. We think 2024 might be our lazy river era...

If you're thinking 2024 is the year you can take a longer haul flight with the family, we're a bit obsessed with the idea of hitting this hotel on Mexico's Caribbean Coast. Every single room comes with a whirlpool bath. And if you travel with extended family, just know there's an adults-only mojito lounge on site. There's a trio of pools, a buffet restaurant and four a la carte restaurants and waiter service to your sunbed. There are seven bars, a Starbucks and a poolside Pizza place. Bring. On. 2024. Already.

Child-friendly is a priority at this Gran Canaria hotel, which comes with the TUI Blue For Families assurance. There's a focus on wellbeing meaning there's a Health Eating Challenge, which aims to get kids trying new foods. There are kids's swimming lessons - and classes to help the whole family relax and understand mindfulness. There are two hotels either side that are also TUI Blue For Families rated, which you can also use facilities at. At the Orquidea there's a splash pool for young kids and three others to explore, a spa, a playground, a soft-play area and a full evening entertainment programme. If knowing the whole family is catered for is important to you, then this resort will help you relax in the knowledge that is taken care of.

This Lanzarote hotel has comfy apartments on offer that are tailored towards families as well as the hotel. Things really area targeted towards families here with splash zones, expert childcare, kids's entertainments and the hotel boasts that the restaurants cook with the flavour pallates of children in mind. Venturing outside the hotel the Playa Flamingo Beach is just a few minutes' walk away, with a pushchair-friendly, paved promenade.
