Bow down to Daisy May Cooper, Queen of Relatable Post-Birth Mum Life content on the internet right now.
No shade on you if three days after the birth of a child you're in your leisure wear, sipping a first proseccs and looking insta-glammable.
But for those of us who, weeks later, are camped out in our maternity leggings mostly topless because the idea of putting a bra back on and off again seems like energy we can't afford to expend... may I introduce you to your new fave.
The This Country star and actor gained praise throughout lockdown for her honest posts, funny videos (sexy dancing to Antiques Roadshow, anyone?) and skits with her first child, Pip.
Now, after the birth of her second child, a son, she is serving us maternity realness like we've never known it - and always needed it.
Today, Daisy rapped to the sound of her breast pump. Which, as anyone who has ever been attached to a breast pump knows, is as exciting as it gets.
Earlier in the day, Daisy posted a picture of herself in her hospital bed, while using the breast pump, giving the photographer the middle finger, captioned 'Thug life'.
Even better though was her response to those who, errrr, misunderstood what the bedpan on the side was. People who have perhaps never had to be hospitalised...
'I love how everyone thinks the cardboard bedpan is a cowboy hat. Like Ive asked my husband to bring me a Costa and my cowboy boy in to the hospital because they are vital necessities,' laughed the comedian.
Daisy had already won the hearts of all mothers, by posting about her painful post-birth windlast week, which prompted an outpouring of people sharing their stories about all the varying painful bowel movements you get to experience following the 'miracle of birth'.
'This incredible midwife @debtay6 practically saved my life when I had an emergency c section with pip in 2018, and yesterday she helped me from being consumed by my own farts when I was in agony with trapped wind.' She posted. 'Feel so blessed to know this superhero and all the other incredible midwives who had looked after me and made me laugh through all the uncomfort @gloucester_birthunit @deliverysuitegrh.'
Daisy has previously thanked the team that delivered her child, saying: 'Cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh for all they are doing for our little bubba and me. Its been quite a traumatic few days and they have gone above and beyond.'
Keep being the relatable hero we all need, Daisy. We'll come for the fart stories, and stay for the cute pictures of the baby too.
