NYE Throwback Playlist

After a year like 2021, sometimes you have to look backward instead of looking forward to make yourself feel better. With so much uncertainty coming (again) in 2022, looking back to simpler time – like, say, 2011 – can be very therapeutic.

And so, with that in mind, we think your New Year’s Eve playlist this year should be very heavily influenced by what we were listening to in 2011. Yes, there’s been some great music this year, but there were also some absolute tunes 10 years ago that would definitely hold up at a New Year’s Eve party in 2021.

Rihanna and Adele seem to have carried 2010’s New Year’s Eve playlists (not so different than 2021 then...), but who could forget about Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger? Or Cee Lo Green's Forget You? (Remember clubs?) From LMFAO to Jessie J, here’s yours ultimate New Year’s Eve playlist from 2011.

Adele - Someone Like You

Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger ft. Christina Aguilera

Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor ft. Pitbull

LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett, GoonRock - Party Rock Anthem

Rihanna - We Found Love ft. Calvin Harris

Pitbull - Give Me Everything ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer

Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude

Adele - Rolling in the Deep

Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts

Rihanna - S&M

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

ALEXANDRA STAN - Mr. Saxobeat

The Wanted - Glad You Came

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

Nicki Minaj - Super Bass

Coldplay - Paradise

Ke$ha - We R Who We R

Cee Lo Green - Forget You
