Good news for Glastonbury lovers, Diana Ross has been confirmed for the legends slot, which will make it her first UK performance since 2007. The former Supremes star is the first act to be confirmed for the 50th anniversary of the festival, which will take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset between 24 June 2020 and 28 June 2020.
Diana wrote on Twitter, ‘This is a dream come true. To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I'm coming to Glastonbury, with love.’
The festival's co-organiser, Emily Eavis, added, ‘I am delighted to say that one of the all-time greats, the wonderful Diana Ross, is coming to Glastonbury to play the Sunday legend slot on the Pyramid next year.’
While nobody else has been announced for next year's line-up, rumoured artists include The 1975 and Taylor Swift{
Kylie wowed audiences with her Legends slot last year - in 2005, the singer was booked to play the festival, but her breast cancer diagnosis meant she had to watch the festival unfold from Australia. Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb, Dame Shirley Bassey and Lionel Richie have also all played the iconic slot.
For those who missed out, the festival is also offering a ballot of 50 tickets for those who registered in time. Festivals fans must apply for the tickets by 5pm Thursday 31st October. Check out Glastonbury's site for more information.
