If you’re already familiar with TikTok, you may well think everyone talking about the ‘Skinny House’ on the app was one of the 'creator houses' that accommodates the young, beautiful and most popular TikTok users. But alas, ‘Skinny House’ is not the latest Hype House, oh no… it’s literally a really skinny house.
That’s right, a video of a strangely shaped house has kicked up a storm on TikTok. It all started with a post by user Eli Korn who walks past the house in his hometown often. From the outside, it appears to be wide, but walk around to the side of the house and you’ll see a depth that would have you walking into a wall within seconds.
Since posting the video, that now has over 1.2million views, everyone has been looking into how, exactly, someone could live in this ridiculously skinny house. Luckily for us, it’s listed on Zillow so we can take a peak inside.

The two-bed, three-bathroom Illinois home is 1,122sq and sold for $260,000 (£198,500) in August this year. Despite being somewhat thin on one side, the house gets bigger around the back, with even the skinniest part of the home appearing more spacious on the inside.
According to TikToker’s in the know, the house was built on a triangular plot and so was shaped somewhat strangely in order to maximise the use of space inside the house. To be honest, even with its perplexing exterior we would love to live in a 1112 square foot house for under £200k. Just for a sad comparison, a house this size in London would be, on average, upwards of £550k. Seriously.
