It's been reported that social media influencer Nicole Thea died along with her unborn son, Reign, following a 'massive heart attack'. She had previously posted videos about being out of breath and feeling 'like I'm dying'.
Thea was eight months pregnant. Her Uncle, Charles Murray told the Mail Online: 'From what I heard at the moment, we think she had a massive heart attack.
'She had it in her house and she was telling her partner that she had pains in her chest and her back.
'Nicole was saying that she was struggling to breathe. She was struggling with her chest - she had a pain in her chest.
'It is so surreal as she was so young. It is such a shock. It has really, really shaken us all up.'
'She is a dancer and we don't think she had any underlying health problems,' he added. 'It is terrible. But we won't know for sure until we have the post-mortem.'
A much loved YouTuber with over 300,000 subscribers across YouTube and Instagram, Thea documented her pregnancy on social media with a video of her shooting a pregnancy photoshoot posted just hours before her death was announced. Her partner, Jeffrey Frimpong - better known as Global Boga – who is a musician and dancer, made the decision to let pre-scheduled videos air on her channel with more expected to come.
In an eight month pregnancy update video posted on the 1st of July videos, Thea had complained of severe shortness of breath and explained she had talked to her midwife about it.
‘The worst thing about my pregnancy is that I'm so out of breath 27/4,’ Thea said. ‘I could walk from here to the end of the room and I would feel like I'm dying, I went to my midwife and was like “Oh my god, is this normal I don’t understand?” and she was like “Yeah, you’re carrying a child there’s a whole human inside of you”. I feel like the baby is eating me, that’s the worst thing. It’s so hard.’
Police are yet to release a cause of death. With little known about what happened to Thea, some fans had been urging the family to enquire if there was any NHS negligence.
Comments on videos published after Thea’s death have been disabled, with Thea’s mother asking fans to give them privacy. ‘As a family we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened,’ she wrote. ‘Thank you her mum RIP My beautiful baby girl Nicnac and my grandson Reign, I will miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in eternal heaven.’
