Stop Mentioning Louise Redknapp In Headlines About Her Ex-Husband Jamie

After the birth of Jamie's child with his new wife, it's sexist to read into every action Louise takes on social media.

Jamie, and his new wife, Frida Andersson, welcomed a baby earlier this week. The couple married earlier this month, and on Wednesday, Jamie announced the news that they'd welcomed their first child together.

'Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp, we’re so in love, mum is doing so well too,' Jamie wrote, alongside a pic with their newborn. 'We can’t thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster enough. So excited for him to meet my boys.'

But, even though its Jamie and Frida's news, loads have headlines have been mentioning his ex-wife Louise{ =nofollow}, who he split from in 2017 after 19 years of marriage. (Louise and Jamie share two sons, Charley, 17, and Beau, 12.)

For example... 'Louise Redknapp "relieved" amid ex Jamie and new wife Frida's baby news'. 'Louise Redknapp returns to social media after ex husband Jamie’s baby news'. 'Louise Redknapp breaks social media silence after arrival of ex Jamie's baby', (And these are just three examples...)

So, it seems everyone is obsessed with Louise being back on Instagram - but how has she 'broken her silence', exactly? Well, she hasn't. She posted a photo in a winter coat, as part of an advert for Peacocks - which is being read into some cryptic clue about how she feels about her ex-partner - as if she is not just advertising a pretty coat.

It seems like we're stating the obvious here, but Louise getting on with her life, and posting an advert, when she hasn't posted on Instagram in a few days is not breaking any silence. She's just living her life, as normal, and people are reading into it too much - whether they think she's been avoiding social media, or making a statement by posting a photo.

Plus, it's insensitive, and it's hurtful, to just presume how Louise is feeling. It's pure speculation, and it's sexist to project the narrative on to her that she's the heartbroken ex-wife. Unless she actually speaks on the issue - which, of course, she doesn't have to - maybe leave her out of it.
