Thanks to Frankie Bridge from the whole parenting community, for reminding everyone that beyond the memes and jokes, lots of families are having a tough time going back to school this week.

It's always the case, but this year, after coronavirus lockdown, more children than ever will be finding starting or returning to school harder than ever.

And while some kids will gleefully pose for a pic in their new uniform and run into the gates, others will find things a bit harder. For many mums, that can be rough, so many will be grateful to Frankie today for posting about her experiences this morning with sons Parker and Carter.

Posting the heartbreaking picture on Instagram this morning, Frankie wrote: 'Not all back to school pictures are happy ones 🙁 Parker is definitely my sensitive and anxious child and it all got a bit much for him this morning ❤️ there were lots of tears from him... which inevitably meant lots of tears from me 🙈 he was absolutely fine by the time we dropped him off though 😍 so hopefully he’ll have a good day 🤞 my big boy might be going into year 2 ... but he’s still my baby boy.'

She's not the only celebrity parent who has had an emotional day. Stacey Solomon has also posted a teary message after dropping off her sons, Zachary and Leighton.

After the post got a lot of feedback from mums in similar situations, Frankie posted an update on her stories, saying: 'Parker went in fine in the end. He cried pretty much all morning, saying he didn’t want to go in, which set Carter off, who then decided he didn’t want to go in.'

Because of coronavirus instructions, she said her and husband Wayne Bridge had had to take the boys in separately.

'Wayne said he was fine by the time he got to the class, he was smiling and waved goodbye,' she said. 'That made me feel better but didn’t stop me from crying the whole way home.

'I know he’s going to be fine, but I think it’s just separation anxiety.

'Obviously I’m going to worry about them all day, but they’ll probably be having the best day ever.

'I just find it really hard and you always worry you’re making the wrong decisions,' she added.

Frankie received praise from parents last month for her honesty about using iPads to keep her children happyin restaurants.
