As war rages across Ukraine, the nation's government has reported that nearly 4,000 couples have tied the knot since Russia began its invasion two weeks ago: 'No matter how hard the enemy is trying to destroy and break us, life goes on,' officials wrote in a Facebook post.
'During this time, Ukrainians have created almost 4,000 new families,' they celebrated. '3, 973 couples decided to formally strengthen their alliance during the war... Despite Russia's armed aggression, Ukrainians do not lose the spirit and strength of faith. The enemy will be destroyed! We will win!'
From proposals that have happened at check points to couples who have said 'I do' in bomb shelters, nothing has stopped the people of Ukraine showing their love for each other during this violent and horrifying conflict.

Ukrainian couple Klevets and Natalia Vladislava got married in Odesa bomb shelter surrounded by their loved ones. As war raged around them, they celebrated with a drink as they signed their paperwork.

Dmytro Shybalov and Anna Panasiuk got married in Kyiv's Civil Registration Office after getting engaged two months before Russia's invasion. The couple, who met seven years ago, originally planned to marry this Summer but changed their mind after the war began.

After three years together, they planned to marry in May but brought their wedding forwards because Sviatoslav will have to fight with the Ukrainian Amy. 'Kyiv is our home.
