Justin Bieber has shown public support for the musician following an accusation of sexual assault, and Instagram users are not happy .

The allegations against Chris Brown, which were dropped on Tuesday, were made by a 25-year-old model who has claimed that Brown raped her at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Paris along with his body guard and a friend on the 16th of January during a party. The woman has said that she met Brown through a friend at a nightclub before being invited to a party where everyone's phones were confiscated at the door. She than alleges to have been raped by three men, and claims she only reported the incident two days later because she was ashamed to have been sexually assaulted by three different men in one night. Speaking to Closer Magazine she said “It’s still too difficult for me to explain in detail what he did to me, but it was brutal and violent. He was menacing and aggressive. I was very afraid”.

Since the incident Chris Brown has been using social media to address the accusations, referring to them as 'crap' and the woman who made them a 'lying bitch'.

On Instagram he wrote 'I wanna make it perfectly clear, this is false and a whole lot of cap! [sic],' under an image with the words "this b!tch lyin" Yesterday he uploaded a video to Instagram captioned 'We Working 💪🏽' underneath Justin Bieber who is marriedto the model Hailey Baldwin wrote 'No one can touch you ur the GOAT.' (GOAT = Greatest Of All Time).

But fans were unhappy with Bieber's apparent praise of Brown, with users writing 'Justin you missed the incredible opportunity to stay silent,' ‘for god's sake, he rapes women justin!!!!!!!!’ and ‘delete immediately’. Another wrote 'Last time I checked, domestic abuse charges and other allegations of violence don't make you the "GOAT," but okay Justin. You've missed a great opportunity to remain silent.'

And they have a point: the recent allegation aside, we should remember that the singer has a well-documented history of violence and domestic abuse. In 2009 he beat Rihanna to the extent that she had to go to hospital with a split lip, black eyes and a swollen face. Brown has also given bizarrely mixed statements about this attack that paint him in the light of the victim sometimes claiming not to have remembered, other times saying "of course I remember" and blaming the media's response to the incident for driving a wedge into their relationship.

In February 2017 Brown's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran successfully filed a restraining order against him after she claimed that he sent her death threats, and more recently In May last year a woman pressed charges against him after she claimed broke into her house, held her hostage and sexually assaulted her. He was also been accused of punching a photographer in 2017, of assault with a deadly weapon in 2016.

And what's notable is that most of these incidents don't see to have stuck to him - as Bieber's comment reminds us, Brown continues to have a large fan base and successful music career, as well as the support of plenty of his peers. We don't know about you Justin, but that probably doesn't make it a great time to be shouting about the fact that no-one can touch him.
