From Bacardi To Magnum Ice Creams, These Are All The Products Companies Are Stockpiling For Brexit

We might not have a high-functioning economy and our rights as women may be in jeopardy when we leave the EU, but rest assured, we'll still have Bacardi. The spirits provider has been stock-piling supply of their famous rum, among others, to ensure there aren't shortages post-Brexit.

Joining a host of other companies stockpiling as Brexit continues to tumble further into confusion and cause sheer panic, the alcohol company told the Press Association, 'We will take appropriate action to make sure we can secure supply, no matter what the conditions are.'

Promising to maintain British distilleries, Bacardi refused to comment on details of the stockpiling, but said they're taking 'responsible and sensible precautions'.

It seems to be the policy of many other suppliers to the UK, as Breville and Siemens UK have too announced they were stockpiling goods at UK warehouses joining Unilever who is continuing to stockpile magnum ice-cream and WH Smith who has already bought 6 months extra supply of notebooks, diaries and pens.

Tesco and Marks & Spencer have also both announced they're increasing supply of tinned food as a Brexit precaution, with Honda and Jaguar Land rover also pushing up their supply of spare parts. Brompton Bicycle is similarly building up bike parts to the sum of £1m .

While these may seem like drastic precautions in the run-up to Brexit, or not to be honest given the way the negotiations are going, the sentiment has been compounded by the British government themselves who have been increasing deliveries to army bases. The health minister, MP Stephen Hammond, also admitted earlier this month that they're stockpiling body bags in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

In fact, both big supply companies and the everyday person has been stockpiling so much for Brexit that not are 75% of warehouses in the UK at full-capacity, but Brambles- an Australian company that provides pallets for stockpiling- has invested $15 million buying 750,000 extra pallets for consumers stockpiling foods, drinks and other inventory.
