Next year's Met Gala officially has its theme and its sponsor: Louis Vuitton. Even though the first Monday of May is still months away, there's no stopping us from daydreaming about the amazing dresses we'll see on the red carpet come spring with designer Nicolas Ghesquiere serving as chair for the event.
Last year's theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion, inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay Notes on Camp. While there was some confusion on what that actually meant, the night brought us the most extravagant, flamboyant, over-the-top looks you could image, so we're not complaining. Remember Lady Gaga's show-stopping four dresses? Of course you do!
According to Andrew Bolton{
'Fashion is indelibly connected to time,' Bolton said. 'It not only reflects and represents the spirit of the times, but it also changes and develops with the times.'
