I tend to read fiction with strong female protagonists, I like delving into worlds that present women as all that they can be even when the odds are stacked against them. I think books are such a powerful tool for creating social change, being up and close and alone with someone else’s words, feelings and thoughts allows you as a reader to really understand the lived experiences of others and to use that as a measure to understand your own life.

For me the books I have chosen in my feminist reading list are a part of my armory for my everyday steps towards creating gender equality in my own life, and hopefully in the life of others. My own book the Power of Women has also proved to be a helpful tool in this endeavour, I hope this list of books will be as empowering for you as they are for me

How do liberals and feminists—as well as conservatives—fatally misread human nature? These are just some of the thought provoking themes explored in this masterpiece.
