Greenery never fails to liven up a room. Sure, you could just plunk down an indoor pot on the floor but a stand is truly a great way to elevate your plants - in both looks and height.
Not only do plant stands showcase your greenery, but they can also help you maximize your growing space, make light more accessible to your houseplants, and keep foliage out of reach of pets and children, making them just as practical as they are aesthetically pleasing.
Whether you're looking for something to liven up your desk or table top, or give height from floor level - it's important to consider functionality as well as style. For larger plants, you’ll want a deep pot with a sturdy frame that provides sufficient support while you can make the most of smaller greenery with a raised planter or small pot on feet.

What to look for in a plant pot?
To accommodate the size of your plant you of course need a large, sturdy planter. We recommend one that has a bit of weight to it (therefore try to avoid a cheap plastic pot) to ensure it won’t get knocked over, and can hold the weight of your plant itself.
A clay pot is a good option as they are less likely to topple over, whereas ceramic is great for cacti, succulents and orchids as they are porous.
Many style-over-substance indoor plant pots work wonders to spruce up a room, but can sometimes come without drainage holes. If you choose a plant pot without holes, ensure the plant is in a smaller pot with drainage holes, and then pop it into your decorative plant pot cover - or, opt for one with a stand or saucer (keep scrolling for our edit of the best).
