Actress Margot Robbie has been named the new face of Calvin Klein’s fragrance, Deep Euphoria, which is set to be released in September.
The 25-year-old was shot in New York for the campaign by photographer Craig McDean and is featured lounging on a velvet sofa in a cold-shoulder number (with a rather attractive man behind her).
This is Margot’s first ever campaign and she is also set to star in a series of television ads which were directed by Francis Lawrence - the vision behind The Hunger Games and I Am Legend.
Described as the ‘first vibrant chypre floral by Calvin Klein’, the fragrance features hints of cascalone, sensual musk and black magic rose and was the artistic vision of Honorine Blanc and Ann Gottlieb.
Melisa Goldie, Chief Marketing Officer for Calvin Klein, said in a statement, ‘Calvin Klein women are…provocative and liberated, and the Deep Euphoria woman embodies all of these facets with an added layer of adventure.’
She continued, ‘We see Ms. Robbie, who is a risk taker, really exploring the multiple aspects of her personality through fantasy during the Deep Euphoria Calvin Klein advertising campaign’.
And Margot herself was delighted to be chosen as the muse for the brand as she said in a statement, ‘I'm thrilled to be the face of Deep Euphoria Calvin Klein. This is my first advertising campaign and I am honored it is with Calvin Klein, an iconic brand I have known and loved for many years.’
With her breakthrough ad and news of a rumoured wedding proposal, the Legend Of Tarzan star is having a pretty good week.
