Friend and fellow Instagram star Hailey Baldwin was also on the trip, and posted a snap of herself in a revealing neon pink bikini. These thong-shaped bikinis aim to emphasise curves and create the illusion of a fuller bottom, which may be the reason why so many celebrities and bloggers wear them.
Often called 'itsy-bitsy bikinis', the barely-there style associated with this swimwear is reminiscent of the 1980s, which featured high cut designs and thong swimsuits.
It's likely that the rise in popularity of this swimwear is partially due to social media, but it could also be down to the fact that a thong bikini just generally makes your derrière look a bit more pert!
