Over the course of LFW, designers have been grappling with the untenable task of styling ensembles for RSVP-mandatory winter events. ALEXACHUNG advocated for a tights and polo neck approach (FYI they styled chokers over the turtlenecks, so no need to skip the accessories just because your clavicle is hidden).

Meanwhile, Ashley Williams sent models down her runway with white tights, back taffeta gowns and a fleecy-scarf. Similarly, Molly Goddard's glorious tulle dresses came complete with tights wrapped scarves, tights and even balaclavas and leg-warmers. The coat-without-a-scarf trick caught on with House of Holland proposing the same tactic too.

It may seem early to think about next winter's milestones - Christmas and New Year's Eve - but come the latter half of the year you'll be thankful to have LFW's AW19 take on below mercury party wear.
