Zara is probably the least under-the-radar brand on the high street, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have the ability to surprise. A prime example is Zara SRPLS, its utility-focussed collection that launched in 2018. Now in its 14th season, SRPLS is driven by what the brand calls 'beautility'. Translation? 'High-performance dressing solutions that blend function and fashion.'

For SS25, that means a capsule that's as easy on the eyes as the body, with a wardrobe of elevated basics in a colour palette of burgundy, ecru and khaki. If you need a visual reference, its aesthetic is somewhere between art teacher and desert aunt, with layers that sit effortlessly, as well as details like patch pockets, hardware grommets and artfully oversized silhouettes that make it look a lot more expensive than its high street price tag.

One of my personal favourites is the collection's beige parka or PRK 14 (beautility evidently also means dispensing with the use of vowels. Go figure). It's got a fluid look courtesy of its lyocell-blend yarn, while its draped neck, chest-height cargo pockets and contrast buttons mean that you can use it to elevate an easy co-ord or take some corporate edge off high-waisted black trousers. I also think its wine-coloured FRNC Dress, with its boat neck and ankle-length silhouette, is the perfect option for people who don't normally gravitate towards frocks. It's super chic, especially the cinched waist and cowl back, without being overly fussy or feminine, particularly if paired with the chunky flip-flop sandals.

With its first drop selling fast and another expected on 17th April, it might be wise to add to basket sooner rather than laster.
