If you follow the hashtag #zaradress on TikTok - which is quite possible considering it has 148million views - you might have noticed that one particular dress is getting more airtime than most. It's pink, silky and a little bit sexy; the ideal slip, you might say, for a birthday party or, even, a bridesmaids dress.
The 'Zara pink dress' has been the ultimate find for #zarahaul videos - and it seems like it's loved universally (especially among Gen Z). 'I broke down and bought the dress that's been all over my fyp this week,' said one user, blowing a kiss to her followers who have liked the videos in their thousands.
A cursory glance tells you all you need to know in terms of why it's been such a sell-out. For starters, it looks a lot more expensive than its £45.99 price tag. And then there's the fact that the bust has been strengthened with what looks like underwiring - great if you plan on wearing a strapless bra with an invisible back underneath - and it falls to that flattering point on the mid-calf. (It's also made from 100% recycled polyester.) The only problem is, of course, that all this exposure means that the dress is now sold out. In pink. But, never fear, it's back in lilac - an alternative that is perhaps even better than pink, which, let's face it, is now everywhere - and available in sizes XS-XXL. If we've learnt anything from its predecessor, this is one you want to snap up.
