As far as great transitional pieces go, the bomber jacket is up there. It won't protect you from sub-zero temperatures, and it's far too thick for summer. Instead, it hits that perfect sweet spot in-between seasons when you have places to go but absolutely nothing to wear. Or so you think.

You may have seen the recent hype (read: chaos) over the Zara Bomber Jacket which sent the entirety of TikTok into a frenzy, and - we totally get it. A hybrid between a cardigan and a jacket, the Zara bomber oscillates between cool and effortless, while still remaining chic. It's a wardrobe staple, and, if the internet's obsession has taught us anything, it's that bomber jackets are once again, reigning supreme. The must-have style? We say take your pick.

The bomber was a breakout trend during the FW22/23 shows, displayed by fashion houses in practically every iteration. Isabel Marant was one of many showcasing the oversized nylon bomber, while Loewe sent models down the runway in puffy leather styles (later worn by Hailey Bieber). Meanwhile, Miu Miu debuted a shrunken, cropped western-style bomber.

Unsurprisingly, the Zara bomber jacket is out of stock (and, we suspect, will be for the near future) but there's no shortage of great bomber jackets on the internet. Whether you're looking for the perfect leather bomber jacket that looks like something you've just fished out of your dad's old closet (in the coolest way possible), or a quilted bomber for that chic equestrian look, we've found the best bomber jackets to shop below.
