Spring 2024 has already been a season filled with exciting collaborations. From Simone Rocha's take on Crocs to H&M's partnership with Rokh, there has been much to get excited about in terms of new creative endeavours. Perhaps one of the most exciting designers lending their name and aesthetic to the high street? None other than Victoria Beckham, who created an exclusive collection for Mango which launched in April.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Mango is no stranger to a collaboration, having launched projects with the likes of Camille Charrière and L.A-based brand Simon Miller in the last couple of years. This partnership, however, is undoubtedly the high street retailer's most high-profile collab to date – and to prove it, even Sienna Miller is a fan.

The actor managed to acquire what is, in our humble opinion, one of the best pieces of the whole collection: the cotton trench coat. Out in London, Miller wore hers with jeans and ankle boots, showcasing the perfectly oversized nature of the trench. It's certainly the most democratic item in a collection which is limited on sizing and, surprisingly, it's still in stock.

Everything you'd want from a trench coat, this comes up a little big, which is great if you like your outerwear on the oversized side. If not, buy the size below and enjoy wearing this every spring.

The rest of the collection exudes Beckham's feminine sensuality, translated into body-hugging dresses, precision tailoring and day-to-night accessories. There are dresses which look just like her catwalk creations, silk shirts in the most beautiful of blues, maxi totes perfect for work and sharp-shouldered jackets you'll want to wear every day.

Dayna Southall, Grazia's head of social media, was given early access to the collection, which she tried on to discover what's worth your money. Here's what she thought...

The Black Dress

'I don’t normally love a V-neck dress as someone who has wide shoulders, but the versatility of this dress also allows for an off-the-shoulder look that sits perfectly on your upper arm. It's elegant enough to wear to a wedding, but easy enough to be my new favourite holiday dress.'

This dress has all the fluidity we've come to expect from VB's silhouettes – keep it simple and wear minimal accessories.

The Crochet Dress

'With the sizing for this collection being less than inclusive, I was worried about the dresses as I usually come up as a size 10/12. But this is small (size 8) and it was very oversized. Perfect for beach club antics, team this with the all-in-one swimsuit and you’re ready to go.'

If the sheerness of this dress puts you off, you could wear with a long, oversized jacket instead. Think of it as a city-friendly way of making it work.

The Bralette

'The problem with most bralets on the market is that they offer very little to no support for those who border on the D cup sizes. So you can imagine my surprise when I tried on this (which also comes in white) and felt like I could run a mile. Super secure and flattering, you could wear them like this on the beach or style under oversized tailoring for a twist on date night.'

Layer under sheer tops for extra coverage or wear under oversized blazers with jeans.

Easy to roll up and pack in your suitcase (even if it's hand luggage), this skirt doesn't have to be kept just for the beach. When paired with oversized, longline jackets, it's a great option for evening drinks.

The Cropped Jacket

'Super lightweight and easy to style, this jacket is perfect for spring – you can layer underneath while it's still cold and wear on its own later on. It's a great extra layer to pack in your suitcase for holiday nights, too.'

100% linen, layer over longline shirts with wide leg trousers for truly slouchy tailoring.

The Nearly-Naked Dress

'This dress has a kind of built-in body but then the skirt is entirely sheer. If you're a fan of the naked dress, this one's definitely for you – I think I would need to wear a slip underneath for some extra coverage. I would also recommend sizing up as I found this came up quite small.'

VB's take on the naked dress, this has a built-in body on top and the skirt is sheer.

The White Dress

'If I said you have to buy one thing from the collection, this would be it. Both figure-hugging and stretchy, this dress screams dinner by the beach on a warm summer evening with its breathable fabric and ruched body.'

For truly glamorous summer evenings, team this with gold jewellery and platform heels.

This has bold shoulders and a nipped-in waist to create a chic silhouette. Wear with the matching trousers for a cool take on bridalwear or use it to dress up your jeans.

This could easily be mistaken for one of VB's dresses from her main collection – and yet it's less than £200. It's perfect for summer weddings with a sharp-shouldered jacket thrown over the top.

The most beautiful colour, this shirt will work with everything from tailored trousers to jeans. It comes in black, too.

Another show-stopper of a dress, this pretty blue style will quickly become your favourite party piece.

Available in black or this chic burgundy colour, these sandals will be your summer hero. Wear with midi skirts and shirts for work, with cropped jeans and tees at the weekend and with your favourite long dresses on holiday.

Another dress which looks as though it's walked straight off the VB catwalk, the detail on this makes it look far more expensive than £190.

A really beautiful take on the sheer trend, this shirt is easily made work-appropriate with a black cami underneath. Or wear over one of the bra tops for after-dark.

If you're looking for a pair of relaxed trousers which aren't overly wide in the leg, you'll want to buy these. They'll look great with a tucked-in white T-shirt or a cropped jacket.

Upgrade last year's T-shirts with this crochet polo top, which will give even your oldest jeans a brand new lease of life.

An oversized tote that will look just as chic for work as it does on a beach? Yes please.

The only heels you'll need for summer events, this pair comes in three different colours to match every outfit.

Wear with slouchy knits and jeans for your perfect off-duty look.

For the summer take on suiting, wear this open back waistcoat with the matching pleated trousers.

The perfectly tailored, slightly cropped shirt but with an added dose of sex appeal thanks to the front cut-out detail.

When added to a black suit, this belt will quickly take you from business to party. It'll also look great over summer slip dresses.

Supersized bags are back – and this is one of the chicest we've seen. Large enough to fit everything, including your laptop, you'll be looking for reasons to go to the office.

This has a back slit and gathered waist – it's the sort of thing you can throw on with your favourite trousers and always feel as though you've made an effort.

The boxy oversized nature of this jacket is balanced out by the adjustable back strap, which ensures it remains a flattering silhouette. With the flared trousers, this makes for a real show-stopper of a suit.

Naturally, VB knows what makes the perfect pair of flared trousers. Channel her style and pair with pointed heels.

This would make a really chic alternative to cotton poplin on hot days. With flat sandals and an oversized handbag, you'll be the best dressed on the commute.

Another fine example of VB's sensual take on tailoring and classic pieces, this shirt would look super-sexy worn tucked into high-waisted jeans.

This closely resembles styles VB herself has worn in the past. While it's easy to dress up with heels, you could make it more casual with a denim jacket and trainers.

Offset the delicate silk by wearing this under sharp black jackets.

Looking for the perfect wedding guest bag that actually fits all of your essentials without a fight? This is it.

Speaking to WWD, Beckham said: 'I was inspired by the iconic French film ‘La Piscine’, and more specifically by Jane Birkin’s character and ease. She is all about natural beauty, is highly feminine, and has a real sense of freedom.' Indeed, it seems ease is the key word here – Beckham said she wanted to create 'easy summer elegance' and clothes which are ultimately very wearable.

In terms of cost, the collection sits at a slightly elevated price compared to Mango's usual high street prices, although the brand says this reflects 'the high quality of fabrics and details' used throughout.

The sizes of each piece ranges from XS-L. Unfortunately, this equates to a UK size 6-12, which is far from inclusive sizing. Having asked Mango why it isn't catering to the majority of women (the average size in the UK is 16), it replied with the following statement:

'We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by size availability in the Victoria Beckham x Mango collection. Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and we recognise the importance of offering options to cater to all body types. We would like to inform you that there is an ongoing process to introduce a broader range of sizes in our collections.'

We can only hope that, for future collections, Mango will create clothes for a greater range of sizes.

When does Victoria Beckham x Mango go on sale?

The collection dropped in Mango stores and online on Tuesday, 23rd April at 9am.

How much does Victoria Beckham x Mango cost?

Prices are slightly elevated compared to the normal Mango collection, reflecting a higher quality of fabric and details used throughout. It's much more affordable than Victoria Beckham's prices, however, with dresses from £100-£150, some tops and shirts under £100, accessories like bags and shoes at around £120-£200 and more expensive, tailored pieces starting at £150.
