The suede bag has cleaned up this spring, with tantalising versions from labels such as The Row, but also high street brands like COS, whose bowling style has been spotted all over Instagram. And it's not over yet. Because Valentino Garavani has just entered the chat with its own suede bag that's so superlative it's already been seen on Bella Hadid and Alexa Chung.

The Nellcôte Embellished Suede Tote, available in either camel or dark brown and decorated with studs and eyelets, is trending on Net-a-Porter - and it's not hard to see why. It's one of the brand's first bags under Alessandro Michele, who took over as creative director in 2024, and whose reputation for hit bags preceded him after his knack for minting cult accessories at his last post, Gucci.

He's doing what he does best with this suede tote, marrying practicality (its size) with playfulness (those studs) to create a bag that's the best of both worlds. Bella Hadid styled hers with the lo-fi combination of a white knit, boot-leg jeans and cowboy boots in New York, while Alexa Chung, back from sitting front row at the brand's show during Paris Fashion Week, took a mirror selfie with hers alongside an olive green trench coat and classic black shades.
