Uniqlo U’s New Collection Is Full Of Brilliant Clothes That Will Make January Feel Like Spring

We're almost (almost!) at the end of what has felt like an interminable January, and, dare we say it, the promise of spring is in the air. If the rain would just stop long enough for us to emerge from the house, we know exactly what we'd like to be wearing: the new collection from Uniqlo U.

Designed by Christophe Lemaire and dropping today, the collection is a typically minimalist offering that, nonetheless, has got us in the mood for milder spring weather. The colour palette has plenty on the neutral spectrum if beige/black/grey is your comfort zone, but also dips its toe into some slightly more joyful shades such as chartreuse, lavender and terracotta.

Who wouldn't feel a touch more zingy in the collection's lemon yellow knit? Or ever-so-slightly more pulled together in a crisp shirt the colour of lilacs? The tailoring is also on-point, from the loose-fit blazer that you can have on stand-by for last-minute video calls to the belted trousers that just need to be partnered with a ribbed polo shirt or ironed button-down to say 'smart'.
