The real love story of SATC? Carrie Bradshaw and Manolo Blahnik, the shoe brand that claimed such a significant amount of real estate in her closet that she once proclaimed, 'I will literally be the old woman who lived in her shoes.' Except, fast-forward a few decades to And Just Like That..., the spin-off series that has just started filming its third season in New York, and it looks as if our heroine might have fallen head over heels for another label entirely.

This is possibly an exaggeration because, as die-hard fans will already know, Bradshaw has always had a 'more the merrier' approach to her shoedrobe, with choice pairs from Manolo Blahnik, yes, but also Jimmy Choo, Rene Caovilla, Gianvito Rossi and Roger Vivier. But it's true, however, that in the pap shots from the set of season 3 so far, she definitely seems to be favouring one designer in particular: Aquazzura.

Its founder and creative director, Edgardo Osorio, has worked closely with the show's costume-designer duo, Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago, since the very first series of AJLT, sending a selection of shoes for the fittings, legendary try-on sessions where each outfit is put together with pain-staking attention to detail from head-to-toe. 'I enjoy every single step of this creative process,' Osorio tells Grazia, adding that it's always a 'thrill' seeing his creations on Sarah Jessica Parker. 'When you can choose anything, and you select to wear my shoes… It’s like a stamp of approval from a very good friend that’s ever so stylish,' he says.

Osorio is obviously no stranger to dressing the great and the good of Hollywood (in the last month alone, his shoes have been spotted on a roll call of the world's most stylish tastemakers, see: Anya Taylor-Joy, Selena Gomez, Demi Moore, Meghan Markle and Elle Fanning). But AJLT isn't a mere premiere offering a fleeting step-and-repeat. No, no. With behind-the-scenes pap shots becoming a part and parcel of the show's hype machine, it's a unique opportunity to build excitement not just about the series but about everyone's favourite character: the clothes.

SJP has been spotted filming in six different outfits and in four, she's wearing Aquazzura, including the Sheeva Pump 105, as well as the So Nude Sandal 105, named because of its oh-so-slender straps that give an almost naked effect on the foot. Osorio modestly confirms that his brand experiences an uptick in sales when she steps out. 'Whenever a celebrity, especially [one] famous for their sense of style, wears something, it is only natural to expect increase in customer demand.' And what eagle-eyed viewers might have noticed among those outfits is that as well as skyscraper heels, Bradshaw definitely won't turn her nose up at a, whisper it, mid-heel if it's made by Aquazzura. 'Aquazzura is not just about high heels,' confirms Osorio, who name-checks his Tequila Mule, a crystal-studded sandal with a heel measuring 7.5cm, as one such pair. 'There’s still a demand for high heels but also lower heels and flats are requested,' he says, mentioning his Christy Flats, 'a pair of ballerinas like no one other, sexy, feminine, and very elegant. Unfortunately, the idea of flats is associated with non-femininity, but ours are extremely sensual.'

As someone who's watched every single episode of AJLT, it's hard to deny the spring-in-your-step effect of a stiletto. Osorio is another fan, who often revisits the original series. 'Not only is the styling brilliant, but above all, the freedom with which so many topics were discussed was what made each show so successful from its beginning. It’s a breath of fresh air. I can’t wait for the new season to come out.'
