Collaborations have become serious business on the high street. The A-list has signed up (M&S x Sienna Miller); as have design legends (Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch), while retailers have well and truly finessed the formula when it comes to cult products, limited-edition collections and a not-insignificant degree of hype to create the perfect storm for shoppers. A flurry are poised to drop - and there's one, in particular, that is definitely worth adding to your diary: Roksanda & Other Stories.
Roksanda Ilinčić has form when it comes to hit collabs on the high street after two seasons with Jigsaw. Now she's back, with a limited-edition collection that, according to the press release, explores 'art, architecture, and femininity', three of her strongest house codes that fans of her designs, no doubt, will be well-versed in.

Only one image has been released so far, showing a model wearing a collarless tailored blazer with a rather head-turning piece of millinery - a soft-brimmed boater with an asymmetric brim that extends past her elbow. It's Roksanda's elevated take on daytime dressing, while also cocooning its wearer. This is because of the designer's philosophy when it comes to 'sheltering': 'Each piece is intended to provide a sense of protection and strength, empowering women to feel confident while embracing their femininity.'
While the size and range of the collection is still a closely-guarded secret, you can expect an emphasis on directional tailoring, dresses with a point of dresses and, of course, a bold use of colour that has become another signature.
'Wearing a garment can transform the spirit, mood, and sense of self. To create this emotional connection, I constantly reflect on what women wish to highlight, conceal, and celebrate to craft pieces that evoke emotions and uplift,' says Roksanda.
When Is Roksanda & Other Stories Launching?
There's still a bit of a wait for Roksanda & Other Stories, which launches online and in selected stores on 15 May. Diarise to avoid disappointment!
