I have realised that the key to making any home look better is lighting. Overhead lighting is my (and should be your) nemesis, so I've spent a very long time trying to find the best lamps which don't cost a fortune. In every stylish home I've visited, I've marvelled at the expensive-looking lights which I assume came from a boutique with an unpronounceable name. When I've enquired as to their provenance, however, I'm usually met with the same answer: Pooky.

Not to be confused with the TikTok sensation of the same name (different spelling), Pooky is a British brand which has quickly amassed a loyal following and endless five star reviews, and its consistently used by leading designers all over the world. This is thanks to the wide variety of styles to suit all kinds of home aesthetics, as well as ingenious rechargeable lamps , for both indoors and outside, which are currently trending on Google search.

I've had several Pooky lights in my basket for a while now, so I'm glad there is now a major Black Friday sale offering 15% off everything, or 20% off if you spend £350 or more. This includes the rechargeable styles, which are so useful if you need to create lighting in a space that's without a plug socket.

There are also wall lights, picture lights and table lamps aplenty, so you can furnish every room in your home with these beautiful pieces at an even more affordable price. I have to say, I'm looking forward to all the compliments I'll get when I have friends over.
