It's not often I find myself utterly consumed by the thought of owning a particular outfit, but there's one particular scarlet co-ord I haven't stopped thinking about since first spotting it on my Instagram. Deciding what to wear for the end-of-year soirées that have a dizzying array of dress codes can sometimes stretch over weeks (if not months) and can cause an awful lot of stress. But, every once in a while a collaboration comes along that stops you in your tracks, and you realise that shopping for the right festive outfit doesn't have to be difficult. Enter Monsoon x Sarah Corbett-Winder, a collection so great, it's hard not to obsess.
This brand new partnership fuses Monsoon's classic boho flair with the editorial eye of the self-proclaimed 'wardrobe whisperer', Sarah Corbett-Winder. Known for her work as a stylist and founder of tailoring brand Kipper Club, Corbett-Winder brings a sense of playful decadence to the capsule partywear collection. Monsoon x Sarah Corbett-Winder isn't about traditional black-tie partywear, it's about embracing the festivities in bold, statement-making textures.
The pièce de résistance of the collection, and co-ord I can't stop thinking about is the Feather Trim Crop Top, £69, and matching Feather Trim Cropped Trousers, £79. This set features a sleeveless crop top with a fluffy feather trim and a pair of wide-leg trousers that cascade down to an equally extravagant feather trimmed hem. The tactile feathers and striking red hue elevate the ensemble so much so that the co-ord actually requires minimal styling. Simply add complementing heels and handbag in metallic tones, pulled together with matching gold or silver earrings.

An absolute showstopper from the Monsoon x SCW collaboration, this top is cut in a sleeveless, cropped, 60s-inspired silhouette and it's fair to say we're obsessed. The scarlet top is also finished with a leather trim for a look that screams party.

The trousers to match the top also feature the same feather trimmings. All that's left to add is a pair of barely-there heels and a sparkly clutch.
The entire Monsoon x Sarah Corbett-Winder collection has managed to capture the magic of the festive season in fabric form, and offers a myriad of pieces that simultaneously feel timeless and of the moment. Corbett-Winder describes the collection as 'classic, slightly flirty, screams party, and makes you have lots of fun,' which it delivers in plenty, and is probably why the urgency to snag particular pieces - like the red feather co-ord - is palpable, with some sizes already selling out.

A pioneer for traditional tailoring, it wouldn't be a Sarah Corbett-Winder collaboration without it. This design is slightly more feminine, with a single-breasted silhouette, front pockets and bronze sequins (that you can't miss).

To go with said blazer, is also a pair of sparkly bronze trousers. The wide-leg, high-waisted style is super flattering, as is the pressed front-pleat which again is a nod to classic tailoring.

This jumpsuit from the collection is adorned with a giant velvet bow and a chic corset-style bodice. A true festive jumpsuit, it comes in a shimmery olive velvet that feels smooth and luxurious. Plus, the bow is detachable so you're basically getting two jumpsuits for the price of one.

A style that went viral last year, the Belinda Bow Jacket is covered in black sequins and has ribbon bow detailing at the front. Style this statement piece with a pair of black jeans and pointed-toe boots.

It seems we can't get enough of sequins this festive season, as yet another fantastic piece from Monsoon is this sequin midi dress. With a strappy design, this dress adorns hundreds of glistening sequins in a mix of burgundy hues.

If you prefer your partywear to be a little, well, subdued, this sheer blouse could be perfect. With silver bow embellishment dotted across the shirt for some added sparkle, this blouse would look so chic paired with high-waisted leather trousers and chunky boots.

You can never go wrong with a blazer dress. A timeless staple that you'll be able to wear to Christmas parties now, and then again next year and the year after, this one features a velvet coating and pearl buttons.
