Mango’s £59.99 See-Through Bag Looks Like The It Style All The Celebrities Have Been Carrying

Not all bags make it to 'It' - the kind of cult status reserved for Fendi's Baguette, Gucci's Jackie, Channel's 2.55, Dior's Saddle, you get the picture - but, despite the competition being fierce, there are several new-gen bags that have become seriously hot property.

Telfar's Shopping Bag, the so-called 'Bushwick Birkin', is the definition of a modern classic. Alaïa's Le Coeur is literally the equivalent of a heart emoji (and also making the rounds on social media). And Coperni's Swipe, its signature oval-shaped bag with plenty of structure, has become a mark of taste (and a certain level of too-cool-for-school-factor) on the street-style circuit.

You don't normally see bags on the red carpet - stars, after all, have someone to carry their phone, house keys and emergency blister plasters - but we can see why she didn't want to put this one down. Because, you know, it's crafted of actual glass, the bag costs an eye-watering €3,500 (around £3,090). As we said, it's an heirloom-in-waiting, but if you want to try the trend for significantly less, Mango has a see-through bag of its own that will prove slightly more manageable for people who don't get invited to the Grammys. The Transparent Rigid Bag, which is available for £59.99, has a similarly structured shape and is as transparent in nature as in name. You might have to prune the contents of your existing bag - used tissues and a half-eaten packet of gum doesn't exactly say glam - but it'll be worth it for the admiring looks. Expect to hear, 'Where did you get that bag?', approximately five times a day from here on out.
