Seeing Spots? That’s Because Everyone’s Wearing Leopard Print Swimwear

Is it just me or is everyone on holiday at the moment? Whether they’re sipping beers on a white sandY beach, or dipping their toes in azure-coloured seas, the world at large, or at least on Instagram, is very much set to out-of-office. This means #holidaywardrobegoals are registering off the charts, with enough itsy-bitsy bikinis, ankle-tie sandals, straw basket bags and wafty kaftans flying around to make you seriously question whether your own summer wardrobe measures up. Firstly, don’t panic. Secondly, there’s a shortcut to acing summer 2020. The only thing you need? A leopard print swimsuit.

Unapologetically bold and universally flattering on all skintones, a leopard-spotted one-piece or two-piece translates to confidence and never trying too hard.

The celebs, of course, are fully on board. Chrissy Teigen chose a leopard-print bikini to pose on a yacht, Lily Allen packed one to Capri and Kaia Gerber sported hers to catch rays while reading.

The Insta-set is also sold. Aemilia Madden, fashion editor at_The Zoe Report_, paired her Solid & Striped two-piece with a sporty bucket hat for sunbathing in Oakland, California, while make-up artist Sofia Trotta twinned her string bikini, from Insta-favourite Tropic Of C string bikini, to her sister’s for a #backyardbikini shot.

Ganni has the coolest selection of spots - and its sporty one-shouldered swimsuit will set you apart from other leopard-wearers at the lido. For something slightly more girlish, try Love Stories’s ruffle-necked swimsuit. I’m a firm believer in high-waisted bikini bottoms - Arket’s are a winner in my book - but Prism’s black-and-white bandeau and briefs are also tempting.

All you need now is a holiday on the horizon - or a paddling pool and a pump.
