It was just last week that I was bringing you the very important news that Kate Moss has been wearing a denim mini skirt. In photographs that looked as though they could have been taken in the mid-noughties, Moss reminded us why we've spent so many years trying desperately to recreate her sartorial magic. One particular outfit which looms large in my memory is one yellow dress, a vintage style which Moss used to inspire a style in one of her first collections for Topshop, which I wore on repeat for the entirety of 2007/8. Today, I was reminded of just how much I loved that dress when I saw recent photographs of Moss in another yellow mini, again looking like the Kate Moss of yore. Lest you were in any doubt, butter yellow really is the colour of the summer.

The cotton broderie mini, with bow details on the front, is available now at Self-Portrait. It's the perfect summer dress to wear with Zara's sell-out toe ring sandals and a basket bag, which would work just as well in the city as it would on holiday. Moss isn't the first model to get on board with butter yellow, though – Kendall Jenner wore a sunny Proenza Schouler midi to Coachella last month, which promptly sold out (although Anthropologie has this excellent lookalike).

As you may expect, searches for butter yellow dresses have skyrocketed on Google in the past few weeks, while the spring/summer collections from both designers and the high street are packed with options to help you get your fix.
If only I knew where my Kate Moss x Topshop yellow dress had gone. I'd be laughing all the way to eBay. Looks like I'll have to head to Self-Portrait instead.

Admittedly simpler than Moss's dress, Staud's mini is no less appealing, with its clean lines and flattering cinched waist.
