Kate wore them in 2016 during a royal tour of Canada, when she paired them with a brown jacket and black jeans. In 2017, she wore them to cheer on runners during the London marathon. And as if that wasn’t enough, she was also spotted in them a couple of times last summer; once while at the Royal Yacht Squadron and again at the RHS Chelsea Flower show.

Earlier this month, for the first time, Kate has given a full length interview on motherhood, speaking to blogger and author Giovanna Fletcher for her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby. Referencing her experience as a mother to three little ones, Kate also talked about her own childhood – and the role of her grandmother in particular. She said, ‘I had an amazing Granny who devoted a lot of time to us, playing with us, doing arts and crafts and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us, and I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences that she gave us at the time into the experiences that I give my children now.'
