The Duchess of Cambridge has been on something of a roll recently. There was her incredible Royal Variety show outfit including high street earrings, the high street coat and jumper she wore, which just so happened to be in the Black Friday sale, and then Holly Willoughby wore one of her most festive dresses, reminding us all that Kate really does love to stick to a theme. Today, for a visit to the Fabergé exhibition at the V&A Museum in London, the Duchess solved all of our workwear conundrums with one blouse.
The blouse in question is a paisley print, tie-neck style from Ralph Lauren. Part of the label's slightly more affordable range, Lauren,it's £139 and is still in stock in all sizes. The reason it's so useful is that you can throw it on with black trousers (à la Kate) and instantly look like you've made an effort without any faff. It's as easy as that.
I'd be quick – I'm sure I don't need to remind you of Kate's selling power. Given that this blouse is under £150, there's no doubt it will fly off the virtual shelves as soon as the world is alerted to the fact that a) Kate just wore it and b) it's a genuinely practical piece that will make getting dressed easier.
