Every Well-Dressed Celebrity Is Wearing This New Shoe Brand

Tracee Ellis Ross is leading the charge.

It can't just be me who's been feeling bad about my commitment to flats. You see, A-listers have been doubling down on heels, with everyone going sky high after a few years of keeping things horizontal in the footwear department. Yes, they're celebrities and, yes, they don't have to walk everywhere or ride escalators into the bowels of the London Tube, but they also look really, really good. And, largely, this is because they've all been wearing a new shoe brand that specialises in killer heels with a point of difference: Jude.

It can be hard to make a splash with a footwear label because of household names such as Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin, which makes the rise of Jude, which was only founded in 2024, even more impressive. Not only has it received a wealth of celebrity endorsements - including Tracee Ellis Ross, Chloë Sevigny and Ruth Negga, all of whom have repped its peep-toe mule sandal - but it's managed to make the heel seem, once again, like a tantalising option as opposed to a torture device.

As well as starting a peep-toe renaissance - no mean feat considering the sandal hasn't been trending since my clubbing days in the mid-00s - the brand has revitalised the reputation of court-heel pumps (imagine?), with its rather delicious Fame Pump. The butter yellow version would pair brilliantly with a flaring midi skirt in chocolate or flame red - just make sure you watch your step as its creamy shade will not take well to pavement grime.

Jude founders, Jurgita Dileviciute and Denitsa Bumbarova, pride themselves on the fact that each and every shoe is crafted in Portugal, while the leather is sourced from two countries known for the premium quality of their calfskin, Italy and France.

And the best news is that if you truly can't dip a toe let alone a foot into heels, Jude makes flat versions of its most popular silhouettes, including the Fame, which emerges as a mule slipper that would look oh-so-chic with drawstring silk trousers or light-as-a-feather slip dresses this summer. You know it makes sense.
