Fashion month has descended upon us, which means the streets of London have officially become our main source of style inspiration (sorry, Pinterest). With influencers and journalists flocking to the capital to attend shows, we're drawing inspiration from both the runway and the audience - and there's one pair of shoes we can't stop seeing. Ganni's Buckle Ballerina Flats.

Setting out to reimagine the classic ballet flat, Ganni's Buckle Ballerina, £295 is a cool-girl spin on the Y2K hero. Not a pink bow in sight, Ganni's edgy take sees the ballet flat in a shiny leather with studded straps, a buckle, as well as a flattering pointed toe. Model of the year Paloma Elesser stepped out onto the Ganni SS 2024 runway wearing the slingback ballerinas, and it seems the whole world followed suit. Spotted all over Instagram, TikTok and now glittered across the front row at LFW, it's official: the buckle ballerina is having a major moment.

Styled with shorts and dresses in the summer, or layered with thick socks and tights come winter, Ganni's ballerinas are exceedingly versatile. The flats can be worn with jeans and a sweater vest, just as easily as they can be paired with a silk maxi, meaning they'll be the most hard-working pair of shoes in your closet. And for (in our opinion) the most convincing argument, the buckle ballerinas make a brilliant, comfortable alternative to heels, so you can attend formal events without enduring agony or needing a back-up pair of flats to change in to, one hour in.

As Ganni's best-selling shoe, the brand has released a variety of colours to appease its cult following. Available in black, cream, a brilliant red, among many more, shop the Ganni Buckle Ballerina below.

SHOP: Ganni Buckle Ballerina

The classic black version of the Buckle Ballerinas featuring a squared block heel, slingback straps and metallic buckles engraved with the Ganni logo.

If you're into more neutral shades, the grey pair is your best best and likely to pair well with everything in your closet.

Because chocolate brown is never not the right choice.

Spice up your wardrobe even further with Ganni's snake skin ballet flats.
