If you're not really a wearer of heels IRL, then your wedding day (when all eyes are on you) might not be the best moment to take a punt on a stiletto. But don't worry, a lack of elevation doesn't mean for a second that you have to sacrifice the fabulous factor. Because flat wedding shoes are officially acceptable, nay advisable, when the options are this good.
Manolo Blahnik's famous satin pumps, for example, come in a crystal-embellished version with a flat sole that the balls of your feet will thank you for after hours of whirling around the dance floor. Loewe's nappa leather derby shoes, which are decorated with a gold logo, look so supple and comfortable that you might never take them off, wedding or no wedding. Of course, you could use the opportunity to weave something blue into your outfit (& Other Stories has a lovely pair of scrunched ballet pumps in powder blue, for example). And if heels are an absolute must, you could always treat yourself to a second pair of flat wedding shoes for the party leg of the festivities, especially if you're changing outfits into something a little less meringue-like.
