One thing is for sure, Dolce & Gabbana know the magic formula for creating a must-have accessory. First masterminds Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce turned headphones into Swarovski crystal-embellished crowns then they made sunglasses into bejewelled conversation pieces and now the Italian designers are turning the heat up on their handbag offering. It’s official, they’ve done it again. Aptly called the ‘Devotion Bag’ it’s already found favour with a flock of high-profile, ludicrously glamourous women.

This structured shoulder bag made quite the entrance at Milan Fashion Week in February. As the industry is always looking to the future (albeit rarely more than six months ahead), it’s not unusual for designers to be experimental on the catwalk, but nobody expected the Italian house to employ the use of such unexpected models to showcase the latest addition to the Dolce & Gabbana accessory empire. Attached to drones, this heart-clasped handbag whizzed overhead at the label’s autumn-winter 2018 show.
This hi-tech introduction might have caught the headlines, but it seems the devotion for this bag is being felt in the real world - Naomi Campbell, Ashley Graham, Eva Herzigova and Lady Kitty Spencer (Princess Diana's niece and Prince Harry and Will's cousin) have all been spotted toting this bag. The bag in question, which is available in two styles, either with a top handle or shoulder strap, has an ornate clasp. The heart shaped closure, which features the brand's DG logo in the centre of a metal frieze makes use of jewellery techniques to add a blingy glint to this superstar-approved accessory.
