If you consider yourself a minimalist when it comes to clothing, we'd assume COS is a top contender when updating your wardrobe. While its pieces don’t chase every fleeting micro-trend, it doesn’t mean the brand’s line-up is lacklustre. In fact, it's actually a treasure trove of capsule wardrobe staples that are especially reliable and incredibly stylish - pieces that slot seamlessly into any clothing rotation. It's no wonder then, that the Swedish brand has entered the top 10 of the Lyst Index, the global search platform's quarterly list of the hottest brands in the world of fashion.

In the last quarter of 2024, COS came in at 17 above Ralph Lauren, Chloé and Toteme, thanks to the retailer's dominance when it comes to viral products. In Q1 of 2025, however, COS has surged 11 places to now rank at number 6, which marks the first time a 'mass fashion' brand has entered the top 10. Its barrel-leg trousers occupy the same spot, number six, on the hottest products list. The exact pair looks to be sold out, but luckily the retailer has a whole category dedicated to barrel-leg trousers, with a particularly tantalising drawstring pair in denim that is available in all sizes.

As fans will already know, COS is a one-stop shop for both quality basics and more directional pieces that look far more expensive than their price tags suggest. Its dress selection is perfect for those who don’t usually gravitate toward dresses, offering elegant, minimal styles that really take the fuss out of summer dressing. Meanwhile, its trouser lineup is just as versatile, perfect for formal occasions but equally capable of creating that cool, model-off-duty vibe when paired with a baby tee. Hence why I spend an unhealthy amount of time refreshing the new in section - and if you love good-quality staples, I’m guessing you do too.

So, what are you waiting for? We’ve rounded up some of our favourite new-in pieces from COS, including swishy maxi dresses, tailored staples, and everything in between. As is often the case with COS’s best pieces, time is of the essence, so get browsing sooner rather than later, before they’re all snapped up. It's summer 2025 drop is one of the best yet.
