Whether or not you're planning to take advantage of the fact that the ban on international travel has officially been lifted, conversations with friends around this time of year always seem to centre around the desire to 'get away'. And it doesn't matter whether you're planning a long weekend in Lisbon, or something a little more local, you need something to wear that strikes a note of difference from the drudgery of everyday dressing.
Mango's latest collection of breezy and boho-themed summer dresses is a result of a collaboration with Chufy, the long-standing alias of Sophia Sanchez de Betak, and has already won a celebrity fan in the form of Blake Lively. The actor was spotted wearing one of the collection's dreamiest dresses, the diaphanous maxi. The six styles, all of which are made from mindful materials, are inspired by Mallorca, Spain, one of her favourite places on earth.
'I love wearing dresses that I got in a different places. When I’m in the city, I treasure them as if they were souvenirs from that trip that take me back to that beautiful time when I was relaxed, without a schedule, with my family and friends. I close my eyes and the dress takes me there, just by wearing them,' says Sanchez de Betak.
Even if you don't get dip your toes in the actual Mediterranean, you can still wear a dress that is printed with rockroses, small flowers with wrinkled petals that are native to the Mediterranean, or another that is inspired by the nooks and caves of Campanet, a city in Mallorca. Sound good?
