The Earrings Trend You Need This Season

Fashion week earrings

Looking to our left and right on the fashion week frows, there was no mistaking the fact that big earrings were the It accessory of the moment. In fact, anyone worth their street-style salt had some serious hardware hanging from their lobes. And while last season’s single-earring trend has been swapped for pairs, we’re not talking simple gold hoops here - this season’s earrings of choice are wearable works of art.

So, which school do you subscribe to? If you’re a surrealist, do a Dali – wear your eyes on your ears with H&M’s bobby-dazzlers, or go fully bonkers and try Uterque’s full-facial. In the Bauhaus corner, Fendi’s colour-block triangle is bang on, or give Topshop’s graphic chandelier’s a go for just over a tenner. Or go abstract - nod to Joan Miro’s mobiles with & Other Stories’ mismatched pair, or bag yourself a pair of Annie Costello Brown’s oversized abstract designs – though you best be quick, as these cult-buys are harder to get your hands on than a front-row ticket to Burberry. Whichever pair you pick, don’t lose your head – this arty trend is about adorning your ears, not chopping one off…
