Each year, Zara goes viral for at least one item. Last season it was the TikTok famous bomber jacket which sold out instantly, and the year before that the fashion-editor approved Marine Straight jean which we (proudly) own in every colour. Our prediction for this season? The sandals.

If you love The Row or Hermès, but don't love the prices, we can all but guarantee that you'll find a pair of Zara sandals that closely resemble designer silhouettes, at accessible price-points. Take Zara's platform sandals, £35.99, a dead-ringer for The Row's famous Ginza sandals, or even Zara's take on the famous Birkenstock, nearly half the price the original, and still available in all sizes (!).

When it comes to this year's sandal trends, there are a few styles that we've seen grace the runways. Hermès, for example, debuted their flats (which almost look like a hybrid of a flip flop and a sandal) in an interesting asymmetric design strikingly fusing utilitarian design with modern flair. Elsewhere, Miu Miu, take bling to the next level with bold, eye-catching designs, and, of course, fisherman sandals debuted by The Row just last year are set to be this year's biggest sandal trend.

No matter what style or trend you're buying into, you don't have to spend a fortune on a pair of sandals. Shop the best Zara sandals now - your bank balance will thank you later.

Flat Strappy Slider SandalsZara

A great alternative to The Row's Ginza sandal, this Zara pair features a chunky sole and a strap on the front with a toe divider. Plus, they're black, so they they'll go with absolutely everything whether that be a wide leg trouser or your favourite holiday dress.

Flat Criss-Cross Leather Slider SandalsZara

For lovers of the Hermès Oran sandal, Zara has released a style that's wonderfully similar. Available in four leather shades; two shades of brown, gold and a staple black, these sandals feature criss-cross straps and a flat sole - perfect for a daytime holiday look.

Split Leather Sandals With BucklesZara

A great alternative to the much-loved Birkenstock Arizona's, these Zara sandals come in a gorgeous khaki green. The cork gives you a little bit of a lift, without feeling too chunky or heavy.

Buckled Leather Slider SandalsZara

Channelling Hermès who debuted flats in a burgundy hue, Zara has followed suit with its buckled leather sandals that feature wine-coloured straps and gold buckle detailing. The style of these couldn't be better for summer, with a light rattan sole that can be paired perfectly with a crochet hat.

Flat Leather Sandals With Decorative DetailZara

These thin strappy black sandals feature chunky gold decorative detailing that immediately catch the eye. To enhance your look, style with a similar pair of gold hoop earrings and a statement necklace.

Flat Slider Sandals With BowsZara

It seems like the bow trend isn't going anywhere and these Zara bow flats are a lovely nod to that. In a stunning nude colour these sandals will look best when styled with lighter tones, like a pair of beige linen trousers or a nude tank top.

Cage Sandals With Track SoleZara

Fisherman sandals are predicted to be one of the hottest trends this year. The first high-fashion iteration was by The Row, but the style has since trickled down to Zara, where they've created these sandals with criss-cross straps and a buckled strap.

Flat Fabric Slider SandalsZara

If you're interesed in leaning into the ultimate boho look this summer, these sandals should be on your radar. We love the laid-back chic vibe of these, with wide fabric straps and a square toe so you can really show off your pedicure.

Asymmetric Leather SandalsZara

These striking sandals feature a unique asymmetric design that has a soft, supple feel that moulds to your feet meaning you can walk for miles and miles in them. Whether paired with a flowing summer dress or smart tailored trousers, these leather sandals are great for a city break.

Animal Print Knotted SandalsZara

Leopard print is certainly not a new thing, but it definitely is having its moment right now. So if you don't want to go full-out leopard with a pair of printed jeans, choosing sandals in leopard might be a good alternative. We love these Zara ones for that.

Lace-Up Leather Sandals With BeadsZara

Beaded sandals are a staple every summer, so you'll get plenty of wear out of these. They're a simple design, but striking nonetheless, featuring thin straps for a tie closure around the ankle. You could also even tie the straps higher up your leg for a different look.

What style of sandals are most comfortable?

Comfort is key when it comes to choosing a pair of sandals that will get you through city breaks, beach holidays and park strolls. The most comfortable sandals are those with cushioned footbeds arch support, or a chunky sole. You'll also find that soft straps and a free toe box will enhance your comfort, and luckily enough, most Zara sandals tend to tick this box anyway.
