Absolutely Everyone I Follow Is Wearing One Of These Triangle Scarves, Including Hailey Bieber

So, I embarked on a quest to find the very best styles to shop.

Miranda Priestley knotted one around her neck, Audrey Hepburn wore one atop her head and now fashion fans are copping them in a range of colours: the triangle scarf has made a comeback as a must-have accessory. Only, they're no longer in colourful swathes of silk, they're in cosy cashmere and wool, which is perfect for the current climate.

This humble triangle suddenly finds itself in demand, its size part of its appeal. No tangling with long woollen lengths. No sweaty necks. Absolutely no boa constrictor-style wrestling to get it on and off. Say au revoir to the jumbo Lenny Kravitz-style scarf and hello to its more manageable cousin.

In terms of shades, neutrals are always chic, but we're fond of a bright colour. Jane McFarland, Grazia's associate editor, says, 'I still prescribe to the 'pop of red' theory and rotate between two red scarves from Extreme Cashmere and &Daughter. As well as adding a splash of colour to my muted wardrobe, it's an extra layer. I'm rarely without!'

Now, the high street has cottoned on and there are plenty of affordable versions at Cos, Zara and Free People. When it comes to styling your knitted scarf, there are options. Lean into the old money look, wearing it as a headscarf, or tie it snugly around your throat to peek out from under a collar. Pick a slightly larger size for some elegant draping - think shrugging on a jumper over your shoulders without the extra added bulk. For a final flourish, any scarf can easily be elevated by adding a brooch, or perhaps an XXL safety pin, à la Prada.

Shop: The Best Micro Neck Scarves

Although small in size, this cosy cashmere scarf is sure to keep you feeling snuggly, battling away any breeze that may whip down your collar.

As Jane McFarland says, a bold pop of colour will liven up any look, and this accessory is an easy one to reach for.

Simple yet chic, this soft cashmere chocolate scarf will work with a whole host of looks, particularly for those who love a nice neutral.

If you're looking to cop a colourful neck scarf but aren't raring for red, perhaps a more muted olive will take your fancy?

Free People is a great place to find all trending items, and neck scarves are no exception. Plus, at under £25, this one is also a more affordable find.

Although not exactly micro, this triangle scarf still treads on the trend. Just drape it over your shoulders for an extra layer of warmth.

Extreme Cashmere provides old-school glamour with its soft cashmere blend fabrics and timeless designs. We couldn't ask for much more.
