I Assumed Bella Hadid’s Perfect Trench Coat Was Designer, But It’s Actually A High Street Find

Bella Hadid is no stranger to a big fashion moment. Over the years, the model has delivered her fair share of spotlight-stealing outfits – from the archival John Galliano dress she wore for an Orebella launch party this May to her sculptural Schiaparelli gown at Cannes in 2021. Still, Hadid clearly enjoys going simple for her off-duty looks, and in our not-so-humble opinion, that's where the magic lies. Especially, when said off-duty looks involve a high street piece that's not just brilliantly stylish but also really accessible, like when she wore a chic off-shoulder top from ME+EM for the perfect ‘jeans and a nice top’ outfit. More recently, Hadid was spotted in Paris yesterday ahead of fashion week in an easy yet polished outfit, which included a Mango trench coat (that's still in stock!).

The trench in question is a tobacco brown-hued long coat from Mango's premium Selection collection that offers elevated, quality basics. The simple cotton coat features a classic silhouette with a shirt collar and is cut for a slightly oversized fit, which Hadid masterfully styled with a crisp white button-down and straight-leg jeans. She finished the look with Manolo Blahnik slingback pumps and wired headphones trailing out of the coat's pocket for a cool girl finish. The final flourish? A Coach Tabby bag in faded black leather for a worn-in look.

With the days getting too cold to step out in lightweight denim jackets, but not yet cold enough to bring out the wool coats, Hadid's look is exactly the kind of formula I've been looking for. Equal parts fashion-forward and wearable, the outfit is so easy to replicate, and most pieces are surprisingly still in stock.

With the weather in the UK predicted to oscillate from chilly mornings to surprisingly sunny afternoons, we're definitely bookmarking Hadid's easy outfit formula for an easy styling fix.
