It's rare to find a brand online which is not only beloved by fashion insiders but also still relatively under the radar. There is, however, one label which keeps cropping up on the accounts of very well-dressed women, which had, up to now, mostly escaped our notice. Amazon's The Drop, known for its limited-edition collections designed in partnership with influencers, has been producing some brilliant pieces of late, making us reconsider our shopping habits. Even better, many of said pieces are now on sale in the Prime Day sale.
Launched back in 2019, The Drop was conceived as an entirely new way to shop. The idea was that an influencer-designed collection would drop online and be available for just 30 hours. If you bought something, it would be made-to-order just for you, which would minimise waste. That's also why each collection would only be available for just over a day – there would be a finite amount of fabric available for each piece. While Amazon still launches these limited collections, it has now expanded to include pieces which are always available, including some of the most expensive-looking wardrobe basics which don't, in fact, cost a fortune.
Previous partnerships include H.E.R, Charlotte Groeneveld (otherwise known as @thefashionguitar) Patricia Bright and Abisola Omole, all of whom have proudly worn their own Amazon buys. The permanent collection features elevated accessories, wear-everywhere dresses and outfit-saving separates, all of which are currently on sale for Amazon Prime Day.
There are polished Western boots for less than £50, could-be-designer bags for under £25 and expensive-looking knits for £26. There are also versatile dresses, cropped trousers and chic heels, all with huge savings for the rest of Prime Day (until 11.59pm this evening).
