Remember when we told you that we’d discovered the most famous Zara item of all time?

With a cult Instagram following and thousands of likes, we couldn’t help but feel smug that we had #thatcoat in the back of our wardrobes.

But another global sell-out has been revealed and according to Lyst, it’s the second most clicked on item on the site right now. Blimey.

First brought to our attention by Olivia Palermo, Zara’s walking advertisement, the black trousers are the definition of luxe athleisure.

With a sleek, tractor red stripe and a lean, streamlined shape – it’s no wonder the item is the most talked about garment on the internet right now.

Priced at £59.99, the cult trousers are the high-street equivalent of spring/summer’s luxe twist on athleisure, debuted at Chloé and Vetements.

But who can be surprised by the Spanish retailer’s global influence?

Hannah Almassi, editorial director at Who What Wear told The Guardian, “We all know they [the trousers] are Zara now - there’s something so precise about the cut and finish that could entirely pass for designer."

She continued: "You can’t place these trousers as high street or high fashion, the side stripe and wide-leg silhouette are inherently flattering, and tap into athleisure without making you feel like a slave to the trend.”

Well, that’s us sold. With over 1,000 views a week online despite only dropping in stores two months ago, it seems the item has made a real impact.

So hurry and buy them online now before they get their own Instagram page and everyone is wearing #themtrousers...
