Christmas party dressing is notoriously tricky. We have been lead to believe that just because it’s December we must automatically dress head-to-toe in sequins, glitter or velvet, and inevitably in something that will never be worn again. Similarly, it is a truth universally acknowledged that come Christmas we must start wearing both red and green.
We assumed this colour pairing was a sartorial cliche, however, VB has proven us wrong.
At a Christmas bash held at her store in London last night, Victoria wore a silky scarlet dress from her SS18 collection with a pair of glittering emerald heels and matching clutch, both also her own designs.
The distinctly festive ensemble was a real step away from Victoria’s usual understated style, and demonstrated how taking colour palette inspiration from your Christmas decorations can look both elegant and fashion-forward.
For her very own dancing girl emoji moment, Victoria kept her hair and makeup simple with the addition of shimmering eyeshadow to complete the Christmas-themed look. Using a selection of products from her VB x Estee Lauder collection, naturally she shared her makeup line-up via Instagram.
